Dubai is one of 7 Emirates in the south of the Persian Gulf. The country that used to be a desert has over the last century become one of the most desired countries to travel to. The area has become home to many different high rise buildings and interesting pieces of manmade beauty.
The country is home to not only the tallest structure in the world (Burj Khalifa) but also the hotel with the highest star rating, the Bur Al Arab 7* hotel. The area continues to create pieces of great architecture and luxury with the planned Burj al Alam set to take the title of world’s largest commercial skyscraper.
For those interested in more than sun bathing on their trip, country has many different activities. The largest mall in the country is known as the Mall of the Emirates and is home to not only great shops but also an indoor ski slope, perfect for kids to go on while parents shop. The country also has two great golf courses that are perfect for pro or amateurs. The surrounding sea has many great activities including Jet-skiing, Paragliding and Wind surfing.

As the cost of travel and vacation slowly increases, tourists are considering other countries outside Europe as their preferred tourist destinations. As a result, tourists going to Middle East and other Asian countries have increased. In these places, Euro will go a long way and even with the increased airfare, the savings will still be significant with almost the same accommodation and even better service.
However, this has posed a problem for other tourists as they venture to other places that are a little bit stricter in their moral codes. Most Middle East countries are very strict in their moral codes that transgressing them will mean stiff monetary penalties and even jail time.
