We always hear about this place when somebody thinks of going to a very far away place and they’d mention Timbuktu. Why does Timbuktu become synonymous to a far away place or the end of the world?
Well, as it turns out Timbuktu is just considered this because no word about the place was ever recorded not until 1828 and because it’s not that easy to reach this place although they now have an airport to brag. People used to travel by riverboat here and it usually takes days before they reach Timbuktu.
