In Manila it took place in October 2008 a medical and tourism wellness summit – Embracing Health and Wellness in the Heart of Asia, held at Sofitel Plaza. At this summit, it was showcased the country’s world-class healthcare with its excellent hospitals, high safety standards and people of the Philippines natural culture of compassion, caring and kindness.
At the summit participated medical representatives, professors and scientists from prestigious universities around the world and consultants in the hospitals of Philippines.
They all emphasized the professionalism of Filipino doctors who acquire the best medical training in their native country or in America, Europe or Asia. Moreover, they are known for their caring and compassionate attitude they have towards their patients.
The summit wanted to remind that the Philippines can provide world-class care to its medical tourists. Those “tourists” who would target Philippines for medical purposes should know that the number of the medical professionals increased, as well as the number of the hospitals providing high quality care. Filipino hospitals are among the best in Asia and the world.
